To maximize occupant safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Chevrolet Corvette have pretensioners to eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer pretensioners.

The Corvette’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the GranTurismo Folgore.

The Corvette has standard OnStar®, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to get turn-by-turn driving directions, remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Corvette and the GranTurismo Folgore have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available blind spot warning systems and rear cross-path warning.

Chevrolet’s powertrain warranty covers the Corvette 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Maserati covers the GranTurismo Folgore. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the GranTurismo Folgore ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

The Corvette’s corrosion warranty is 2 years and 50,000 miles longer than the GranTurismo Folgore’s (6/100,000 vs. 4/50,000).

There are over 30 times as many Chevrolet dealers as there are Maserati dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Corvette’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Corvette second among compact premium sporty cars in their 2025 Initial Quality Study. The GranTurismo Folgore isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Corvette ZR1X’s standard 5.5 turbo V8 hybrid produces 499 more horsepower (1250 vs. 751) than the GranTurismo Folgore’s electric motors.

The Corvette offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Corvette Z06/E-Ray/ZR1’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the GranTurismo Folgore (F:275/30R20 & R:345/25R21 vs. F:265/30R20 & R:295/30R21).

The Corvette Z06/E-Ray/ZR1’s 345/25R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 25 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GranTurismo Folgore’s 30 series tires.

The Corvette has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires standard on the Corvette can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better maneuverability, the Corvette with Magnetic Ride Control’s turning circle is 4.3 feet tighter than the GranTurismo Folgore’s (36.4 feet vs. 40.7 feet). The Corvette’s turning circle is 2.6 feet tighter than the GranTurismo Folgore’s (38.1 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Chevrolet Corvette may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1150 to 1600 pounds less than the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore.

The Corvette is 1 foot shorter than the GranTurismo Folgore, making the Corvette easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Corvette’s standard power retractable hardtop allows a seamless transition from an open car, to a completely sealed coupe. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer a retractable hardtop.

The Corvette uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Corvette’s optional easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked or the ignition is switched off, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

The Chevrolet Corvette stands out above the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore by offering not one, but two Qi-compatible phone chargers. This convenience helps travelers with multiple devices to keep powered up on-the-go. Wireless charging eliminates lost or cluttered charging cables and two of them provide more flexibility.

The Chevrolet Corvette comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Maserati GranTurismo Folgore isn’t available as a convertible.

The Corvette is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The GranTurismo Folgore doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
